It uncovers the mechanisms behind defense against pathogens and etiology of autoimmune diseases, allergies, and immunodeficiencies. It provides a detailed description of innate and adaptive immune responses, immune cells and organs, antigen presentation, cell-mediated effector responses, tolerance and autoimmunity.
