Certificate in Politics, Law and Social Justice - ERCER2015

The Certificate in Politics, Law and Social Justice is open to students interested in social justice, human rights, and the law. The 2.0 credit requirement will permit students to orient their coursework around these themes; study with peers with similar interests, cultivate working relationships with affiliated faculty and explore independent research and collaboration opportunities; and acquire a transcript notation signaling their thematic focus. Substantively, this certificate will train students to think about pressing social political questions via the tools of political science in preparation for the challenges facing tomorrow’s citizens.

Enrolment in the certificate program is open to all students completing programs at UTM.

  1. Additional courses may be required to fulfill prequisites for electives.
  2. Additional courses, including special topics courses in POL, may have sufficient related content to be eligible for the certificate. Students must receive permission from the Academic Advisor prior to course enrolment.
