CCT410H5 • CCIT Internship I

This course is a practical internship and is available only to students registered in the CCIT, DEM, or TCS programs who have applied to the course. To remain enrolled in the course, students must secure an approved internship placement, either independently or through the list of internship position postings provided by the Experiential Education Unit. Without a verified placement secured one month prior to the start of the semester, students cannot continue in the course and will be administratively removed. The placement must begin no later than the first day of class. Through the placement, students will apply the expertise in communication, culture, and information technology that they have gained in their studies. Students are required to complete a minimum of 100 hours of work at the internship site during the semester. At the end of the placement, students will complete a report and a presentation. These, along with the employer’s assessment, will form the primary basis of the course grade.
