The Department of Anthropology is now offering a Focus in the Anthropology of Politics, Policy, and Law, open to all students enrolled in the following programs:

  • ERFOC1775B: Focus in the Anthropology of Politics, Policy, and Law (Major) (Arts)

 

Geography, Geomatics, and Environment - Updated Program Titles

The Department of Geography, Geomatics, and Environment have updated their Geographical Information System program titles, now called GeoSpatial Data Science. This includes:

  • ERMAJ0305: GeoSpatial Data Science (Major) (Science)
  • ERMIN0305: GeoSpatial Data Science (Minor) (Science)

 

Management - Certificate in Effective Business Practices & Leadership Skills

Admission to the Certificate in Effective Business Practices and Leadership Skills is administratively suspended as of 2025-2026.

 

Management - UTMCIP Streams

Admission to the Human Resource Management Specialist is administratively suspended as of 2025-2026.

Political Science - Certificate: Politics, Law and Social Justice

The Department of Political Science is now offering a Certificate in Politics, Law and Social Justice, open to all students completing programs at UTM.

 

Policy on Letters of Permission and Transfer Credit

The section Courses at Other Recognized Institutions (Letters of Permission and Transfer Credit) reflects the updated policy concerning requests to study at another recognized institution through the Letter of Permission (LOP) process.

 

Policy on Petition for Examinations

The sections Final Examinations: Deferred Examinations and Petitions: Deferred Examinations reflect the updated policy concerning the maximum number of opportunities to write a deferred exam for the same course.
